In creams and lotions, the required emulsifier system must be suitable for the complete oil phase. Isoamyl Laurate does not function as a standalone emulsifier for oil-in-water products.

For hair serums and other leave-on products, the concentration should be adjusted according to the desired slip, shine, spreadability and residue.

Solubility

Isoamyl Laurate is oil-soluble and practically insoluble in water. It is compatible with many cosmetic oils and emollients, subject to formulation testing.
