What is Always Young Extract Blend?

Always Young is a six-botanical herbal extract blend formulated for skin care preparations aimed at younger and early-stage skin, teenagers, young adults, and anyone building a preventive daily care routine. Four of its six botanicals are fig-family barks belonging to Panchavalkala, a classical Ayurvedic group long referenced in traditional skin care preparations. Supplied as a ready-to-use extract blend in both water-soluble and oil-soluble versions for cosmetic formulators, private label brands, and small-batch makers.

• Nyagrodha — Ficus benghalensis (Banyan bark)
• Udumbara — Ficus racemosa (Cluster Fig bark)
• Aswatha — Ficus religiosa (Peepal / Sacred Fig bark)
• Plaksha — Ficus virens (White Fig bark) 

Nyagrodha, Udumbara, Aswatha and Plaksha together form the core of Panchavalkala — the classical five-bark group of the Ficus family, used in traditional Ayurvedic skin preparations for centuries. This gives the blend a recognised classical foundation rather than an arbitrary ingredient list.

Formulation Applications & Usage Rate

Always Young Extract Blend is used as an active botanical component across skin care formats. Recommended usage rate: 5–10% of the finished formulation.

• Water Soluble (WS) — face toners, essences, gel moisturisers, water-phase creams and lotions, face washes, cleansing gels, sheet mask serums, sprays
• Oil Soluble (OS) — facial oils, cleansing oils, balms, oil-phase creams and lotions, anhydrous serums, lip and body oils

Begin at the lower end of the range (5%) in trial batches and adjust upward based on your formulation's performance, colour tolerance and stability testing. As with all botanical extracts, run a small trial batch and a stability check before scaling to production.

Storage Instructions

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use to limit exposure to air and moisture. Avoid repeated opening and temperature cycling, which can affect extract stability over time. Use clean, dry utensils when dispensing to prevent contamination. Natural variation in colour, aroma and consistency between batches is expected and characteristic of plant-derived extracts.
