The oil is rich in anti-ageing compounds and is typically used at lower percentages to give skincare formulations a genuine performance boost rather than as a primary base oil.

What makes pomegranate seed oil stand out is its dominant fatty acid, punicic acid, a very rare omega-5 fatty acid that makes up around 66 to 79% of its total fatty acid composition. Punicic acid has a twisted carbon chain structure that gives the oil a thick, rich texture and may have beneficial anti-inflammatory effects according to available literature. The oil also contains polyphenols with remarkable antioxidant activity. Packing and Storage
